Is there a bathroom available? We provide amenities for total off grid living. This includes a bathroom tent for private showering, large water tanks, a portable and rechargable shower and pump, a compost style toilet where youll need to dig a hole, with the also provided shovel! Alternatively we provide bags with the toilet however that may mean carrying it around until you find somewhere to dispose of it.... we'd suggest the shovel technique, the way nature intended!
-
Do you provide food and drink options? We provide cooking utensils, water for washing up, drinking water, dish soap, 3 ice boxes and basics like cooking oil. We also provide a portable BBQ and lumpwood charcoal, but we suggest you bring your preferred food and drinks to cook either from the market or local stores. Alternatively, there are nearby local stores and restaurants where you can purchase supplies and will find local restaurants along the highway around the north of Palawan. You'll also need to fill the ice boxes with your preffered amount of ice whilst you do your shopping.

Is it safe to stay in the truck camp overnight?Safety is our priority. Each location is selected with security in mind, and our team regularly checks in to ensure guests have a safe and comfortable experience. If you choose to explore on your own, rest assured Palawan is very safe in general, but that of course comes down to where you park. Locals are very friendly so no problem discussing with locals where you maybe able to sleep locally, most are very welcoming. However as with anywhere not all! So like with any camping experience, choose your spots wisely if you dont follow us, and THINK ABOUT TIDES if you happen accross a beautiful deserted beach! It is normally obvious where the highest tide comes up to, avoid camping below that line or you may find yourself stuck.
-
Are there any local activities you recommend?Yes! El Nido or Palawan generally, offers a variety of activities such as island hopping, snorkeling, hiking, and exploring local markets. Our team will be happy to help you arrange any activities during your stay.
-
What if we break down or have an issue?Since we are a grass roots business, we reccomend to all our guests to stay within the 'Northern Loop' of Palawan (More details in the Routes tab). This is never much more than an hour drive from El Nido. We can come and get you where ever you are! If you venture south of that line we cannot guarantee getting to you withing a timely manner, nor does our network of local mechanics and pick up trucks span far enough south yet, so please stay around the provided map for now!
-
Are pets allowed?Absolutely! As long as they fit on your lap you'll have no problem bringing them. We just have one rule, they dont sleep in the tent! This is to ensure the comfort of the next guests, so please respect this rule!
-
How do we find somewhere to sleep? We have a number of locations that we will give you on a map, and they will be well sign posted. Look out for the signs that say OGE. Beyond that you are free to explore and find your own spots. Just be concious of getting to a spot before sunset or setting up camp becomes a lot harder, regarless of lights provided! Further to that do not venture anywhere that says no trespassing, and keep in mind most of the land in Palawan is privately owned, most locals wont have an issue with you parking on their land if its secluded, just be respectful and offering a small rental fee never hurts if you are approached by a landowner (around 300 pesos should do the trick!) However be prepared to move on if they are unhappy. We have selected locations to avoid this headache and for piece of mind of our guests. And leave their land CLEANER than you found it!
-
What is the check-in and check-out time?Check-in is at 2 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. However, we can offer some flexibility based on availability.
-
What amenities are provided in the truck camp? Each truck camp offers basic amenities, including a comfortable bed, portable lighting, power banks, and essential cooking and camping gear. Some camps may also include basic toiletries and towels.
-
Is there a power supply available? Our trucks are equipped with large power banks for charging devices. They will charge an average phone about 15 times or a laptop once or twice. We recommend charging larger electronics beforehand, as the power supply is limited. There are many little shops and restaurants around where you recharge not only your devices but the powerbank. Keep in mind you may also need to charge the shower or fan from the power bank. The truck itself also has a 12v charger which will charge when the engine is running so try to charge all on the move as priority! The powerbank and fan have small solar panels too which will help keep them topped up in day time when totally off grid.
-
What is your cancellation policy? The 50% deposit is non refundable if cancelled within 30 days of your booking. When booked through platforms, the platforms cancellation policy will apply, whicg can also vary based on the option you select.

What if we are a group of more than 2 people?Glad you asked! There are 3 options in this case: 1st - Obviously you are welcome to take another RV truck and move in convoy! (subject to availability) This option still only allows for 2 pax per truck. 2nd - We can provide you with a second, non-equipped truck, with passengers seating in the back which can take 4 more people, plus extra regular tents, sheets, mattresses and other equipment. This is a cheaper option as youd be reting a stantard transport car rather than an RV. 3rd - Take one fully equipped RV truck and use it as your support vehicle, and all additional passengers over the first two, can rent a scooter and follow the truck to the campsites! (not the best option for real off-roading, but more the most affordable!) We will add the required number of regular ground tents, sheets and airbeds to the first truck!
-
What should I bring for my stay? We'll give you everything you need for off grid living and you'll see the list of items in the 4x4 Trucks tab. Anything you require beyond that is up to you! Swimmers always helps! but here are a few things that you'll likely appreciate: - Extra insect reppelent - Extra power banks - Sun hats - Extra portable fans - Additional water (we give you 20litres and you will find more along the way) - SUNCREAM for the pasty ones! - Potentially an extra layer for breezy evenings - Long sleeves incase the mozzies get bad!
-
How do I find the Off-Grid base/meeting point? Our office and mini garage is located about 5 minutes north of El Nido town, just before Lio area. This will be your pick up and drop off locations, and feel free to come by any time just for information and a chat! https://maps.app.goo.gl/XXm7XEfeiGJoxwP69
